Welkom op de website van vzw, Gitaar, maar waar?. U vindt hier een gitaarkalender voor België en Nederland, een blog met onze activiteiten ten voordele van jong gitaartalent én een overzicht van gitaarbouwers uit BE en NL. Iedereen kan gratis een bouwer aan de lijst of een evenement aan de kalender toevoegen.
Het 3e concert in de nieuwe serie Gitaarsalon de Oostvaarders, ‘Chasing Spring’, is op zaterdag 21 maart en wordt verzorgd door Duo Verso, panfluit & gitaar (Matthijs Koene en Stefan Gerritsen). ‘Verso’ is een Nederlands panfluit & gitaar duo dat vele internationale prijzen heeft gewonnen, waaronder De Ibla Grand Prize ( 2006) , de Piazzolla award en de Vriendenkrans 2003.
Voor dit lente concert laat het duo naast romantisch repertoire ook nieuwe muziek horen. Nico Huijbregts schreef speciaal voor het duo een virtuoze compositie geïnspireerd op ‘l Histoire du Tango van Piazzolla: Chasing Piazzolla. De binding met de natuur hoor je duidelijk terug in het werk van de Braziliaanse componist Heitor Villa-Lobos. Hij verzamelde melodieën van de Indianenstammen uit de Amazone en gebruikte die in zijn klassieke composities. Als toetje eindigt het duo met Ostinato II van Artyom Kim. In de snelle flageolettonen in de gitaar klinkt het ruizen van de wind over de toendra’s van zijn geboorteland Oezbekistan. De panfluit lijkt hier meer op een Mongoolse boventoon-zanger. Het is een bezwerend en betoverende stuk, dat eenzelfde effect lijkt op te roepen als het “Canto Ostinato” van Simeon ten Holt.

Dit seizoen startten Gasterij de Oostvaarders, Z.o.o. guitar duo en Stichting Stad & Natuur Almere met de gitaarserie Gitaarsalon de Oostvaarders: gitaarconcerten waarin elk kwartaal de overgang van de seizoenen gevierd wordt met sfeervolle gitaarmuziek en een speciaal menu dat daarop aansluit. Proef de smaak van de natuur in Gasterij de Oostvaarders in het gelijknamige natuurbelevingcentrum in Almere Buiten, waar de intieme setting en smakelijk drie gangen diner voor een onvergetelijke culinaire én muzikale ervaring zorgt.
De kosten bedragen € 49,50 per persoon voor het gehele arrangement.

The Maastricht Guitar Society is excited to present the Ukranian guitar phenom Marko Topchii in the groote zaal of the Gasthuis Calvarienberg, Abtstraat 2a. Marko is one of the most successful competition winners on the international circuit at the moment with more than 50 awards in competitions and a recent performance in Carnegie hall. The concert opener will be the Conservatorium Guitar classe’s own Alexander Feldman!

Marko has won more than 50 awards worldwide in the international guitar competitions in the professional category. Among them, 26 first places in the competitions in United States, Mexico, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Liechtenstein, Serbia and Ukraine. The most notable prizes is available in the “awards” section. He plays guitars made by Karl-Heinz Roemmich, Yuichi Imai, Sakurai Kohno and Hong Sik Uhm. Marko is a D’Addario artist since 2012. Marko actively performs around the world, regularly gives concerts with the orchestra; he is desired teacher of the master classes and constantly mentioned in the mass media. Marko Topchii was born into a family of musicians in Kiev, Ukraine and is started studying guitar at the age of four. He is 24 years old and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kiev under the guidance of Prof. Yuri Alexik, Honored Artist of Ukraine. He completed his master degree in the National University of Arts in Kharkov in 2011, where he studied under Prof. Volodymir Dotsenko, Honored Artist of Ukraine. Het unieke panfluit-gitaarduo Verso, bestaande uit Matthijs Koene en Stefan Gerritsen, treden wegens groot succes in 2008 wederom op bij het Gelders Gitaristen Podium. Dit perfect op elkaar ingespeelde duo beheerst hun instrument tot in de kleinste finesse.
Nothing brings us greater joy than to present our own Belgian talents: guitarist Adrien Brogna comes to Flagey to present his very first solo album. This young promising musician already performed throughout Europe, but also in America, Argentina, Brazil and Thailand thanks to successful album releases in collaboration with guitarist Raphaelle Smits, with the Alki Guitar Trio, and with Hughes Kolp, and thanks to artistic collaborations with the American soprano Dawn Upshaw. A must!
