U vindt hier een gitaarkalender voor België en Nederland, een blog met onze activiteiten ten voordele van jong gitaartalent én een overzicht van gitaarbouwers uit BE en NL. Iedereen kan gratis een bouwer aan de lijst of een evenement aan de kalender toevoegen.
Op het programma zowel duo- (Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Duarte, Bellinati) als solowerken (Turina en Kruisbrink).

Tuur Segers (BE) and Andrea Roberto (IT) are two of the most talented young guitarists in Europe.
Andrea Roberto, began studying guitar at age 4. At 9 years old, he was admitted to the U. Giordano Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of guitarist Sandro Torlontano, and graduated with honors at the age of 14 with his bachelor’s degree. He continued his studies with Aniello Desiderio at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy in Germany. He has received a variety of international awards including the David Russell Prize for young talented musicians at the Conservatory of Vigo (Spain), the Parkening Young Guitarist Competition at Pepperdine, and the Joven Promesa Prize at the VIII José Tomás—Villa de Petrer (Spain) International Guitar Competition. In 2010 he won the Valter Cococcia Prize, which goes to the youngest Italian conservatory student graduating with honors. In addition to this he has won prizes in numerous other competitions including the International Competition of the Adriatic in Pescara, the Fernando Sor International Competition in Rome, the International Competition of Mottola and the Stefano Strata International Competition of Pisa.
Tuur Segers developed an interest for the guitar at a young age recieven his first lessons from his father. He has performed, amongst other places, in the Koninklijke Muntschouwburg, in ‘Bozar’ Brussel, the Basilica Festival of Vlaanderen in Tongeren, the guitar festival in Petrer (Spain) and the Wereldomroep in Hilversum. Additionally, Tuur was selected to play in the “fiësta de la guitarra” in Tallinn and Parnu in Estonia. Aditionaly he played with the ‘Rubens strijkkwartet’ in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, de Doelen in Rotterdam, the Philipszaal in Eindhoven and in Janine Jansen’s chamber music festival in Utrecht.
Tuur has won numerous prizes in competitions including: the ‘Dexia Classics’ in Brussels, the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Anna Amalia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Prinses Christina Concours, International Guitar Competition Brno, the Forum Gitarre Wien and the José Tomas International Guitar Competition in Petrer.
Tuur and Andrea are currently studying in Maastricht with Carlo Marchione.

Openingsfilm van het Ambacht in Beeld Film Festival 2019 is Carmine Street Guitars. Na vertoning van de documentaire is er een Q&A met de gitaarbouwers uit de film: Rick Kelly en Cindy Hulej, die speciaal voor het festival uit New York zijn overgevlogen. We sluiten de middag af met een borrel.

Once the centre of the New York bohemia, Greenwich Village is now home to luxury restaurants and buzzer door clothing stores catering to the nouveau riche. But one shop in the heart of the Village remains resilient to the encroaching gentrification: Carmine Street Guitars.
There, custom guitar maker Rick Kelly and his young apprentice Cindy Hulej, build handcrafted guitars out of reclaimed wood from old hotels, bars, churches and other local buildings. Nothing looks or sounds quite like a Rick Kelly guitar, which is the reason they are embraced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Patti Smith, Jim Jarmusch, just to name a few.
Featuring a cast of prominent musicians and artists, the film captures five days in the life of Carmine Street Guitars, while examining an all-too-quickly vanishing way of life.

Op dit gitaarsalon ruilen we ons ons vrij podiumconcept in voor een intiem huiskamerconcert.
Het oorspronkelijke idee van Ensemble DRE was om de muziek van Roland Dyens (1955 – 2016) in een nieuw jasje te steken. De werken, origineel gecomponeerd voor solo gitaar (Ine Clerckx), werden gebracht in een bezetting die aangevuld werd met viool (Reinout Pauwels), contrabas (Daniele Giampaolo) en percussie (Lucas Heytens). Hoewel de werken van de componist onder de noemer klassieke muziek vallen, zijn de invloeden van de jazz, Braziliaanse ritmes en het Franse chanson onmiskenbaar.
Na dit eerste project maakte DRE een uitstap naar het Latijns-Amerikaanse repertoire, dat zich met zijn volkse karakter perfect leent voor deze specifieke bezetting. Ze arrangeerden onder meer werken van Cherubito, Ramirez en Maria Luisa Anido.
Voor hun huidige programma keert DRE terug naar zijn roots: ze herzien hun oorspronkelijke bewerkingen van Dyens’ muziek en breiden hun programma uit met nieuwe arrangementen. In april neemt het ensemble deze werken op voor een debuut-CD.
