Barrios-specialist Enno Voorhorst speelt in Nijmegen

Zaterdagavond 17 oktober 2015 treedt gitarist Enno Voorhorst op in Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen. Enno speelt werken van onder meer Bach(BWV 1001), Barrios, Domeniconi (Koyunbaba) en prachtige bewerkingen van Arvo Pärt.
Enno Voorhorst is hoofddocent aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag en behoort tot de beste gitaristen van Nederland.
Hij groeide op in een familie van musici en volgde lessen bij Hubert Kappel en David Russell. Verschillende concoursen en prijzen heeft hij gewonnen, zoals de Nederlandse Gitaarprijs van Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Hij geeft wereldwijd concerten. Zo toert hij vanaf november door Brazilië.
Enno heeft verschillende cd’s uitgebracht. Barrios-kenner R. Stover schreef: ”The CD Agustín Barrios Mangoré played by Enno Voorhorst is the best that I have heard thus far”. Zijn laatste cd verscheen twee weken geleden en wordt op zondag 27 september als cd van de week op Radio 4 besproken.
Laat u tijdens dit concert aangenaam verrassen door Enno, die een aantal naar gitaar getransformeerde stukken van Bach en Pärt zal laten horen. Dit alles in het Museum Het Valkhof met een sfeervol panorama over rivier de Waal. Tip: laat zijn nieuwe cd met werken van Bach, Barrios, Pärt en Des Prez door hem persoonlijk signeren.

The Maastricht Guitar Society is excited to present the Ukranian guitar phenom Marko Topchii in the groote zaal of the Gasthuis Calvarienberg, Abtstraat 2a. Marko is one of the most successful competition winners on the international circuit at the moment with more than 50 awards in competitions and a recent performance in Carnegie hall. The concert opener will be the Conservatorium Guitar classe’s own Alexander Feldman!

Marko has won more than 50 awards worldwide in the international guitar competitions in the professional category. Among them, 26 first places in the competitions in United States, Mexico, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Liechtenstein, Serbia and Ukraine. The most notable prizes is available in the “awards” section. He plays guitars made by Karl-Heinz Roemmich, Yuichi Imai, Sakurai Kohno and Hong Sik Uhm. Marko is a D’Addario artist since 2012. Marko actively performs around the world, regularly gives concerts with the orchestra; he is desired teacher of the master classes and constantly mentioned in the mass media. Mr. Marchione is currently one of the most respected guitarists in Europe. He studied at the academy of music in Rome and thereafter won innumerable awards at international and national competitions including Ancona 1979/80, “L. Legnani” Parma 1981, “M. Guiliani” 1982, “Ville de Sablé” 1985, Gargnano 1989, “N. Paganini” 1991, “Città di Latina” 1992 and is now a regular guest at festivals throughout Europe (Italy, Spain, France, Holland, England, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Rumania, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Croatia) appearing both as soloist and with various ensembles. He has performed in most of the great concert halls in Europe including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. Additionally, while tourings in Russia he was invited to perform in the prestigous Main Auditorium of “Tchaikowsky Conservatory in Moscow” as well as with the Philharmonia of St. Petersburg, an honour very rarely bestowed upon a guitarist. Both concerts were sell-outs and received standing ovations. He frequently performs with orchestras across Europe and in 1998 he gave his debut at the Berliner Philharmonie in 1988
.
Many guitar composers have dedicated compositions to him, such as Abel Carlevaro, John Duarte, Carlo Domeniconi, G. Drozd and Simone Iannarelli. Mr. Marchione has made many highly-praised transcriptions for guitar including transcriptions of Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin and Telemann’s 12 Fantasias for solo violin, which have both been released on CD.

Mr. Marchione is also a renowned pedagogue and lecturer who’s students have included Marcin Dylla, Goran Krivopapic Irina Kulikova, Vladimir Gorbach, Tal Hurwitz and Florian Larousse. As a testament to his pedagogical skill many of his students have won prizes in international competitions (over 60 prizes and over 40 first prizes at the last count).

Zaterdagavond 26 maart 2016 speelt Sanel Redzic in de Petruskerk in Nijmegen. Als geen ander weet Redzic spectaculaire virtuositeit af te wisselen met poëtisch spel en muzikale diepgang. Een perfecte mix voor een onvergetelijk concert.

Sanel Redzic is een jonge, veelgevraagde gitarist, die al ruim vijfentwintig internationale prijzen op zijn naam heeft staan. Geboren in Tuzla, Bosnië en Herzegovina, begon hij op achtjarige leeftijd met gitaar spelen. Zijn bijzondere talent werd al snel opgemerkt. Al gauw gaf hij concerten over de hele wereld.
Sanel Redzic is een groot musicus, die eigenlijk geen verdere introductie nodig heeft. Kom ook zijn virtuoze en melodieuze spel bewonderen op zaterdag 26 maart, vanaf 20.15 uur.

Tuur Segers (BE) and Andrea Roberto (IT) are two of the most talented young guitarists in Europe.
Andrea Roberto, began studying guitar at age 4. At 9 years old, he was admitted to the U. Giordano Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of guitarist Sandro Torlontano, and graduated with honors at the age of 14 with his bachelor’s degree. He continued his studies with Aniello Desiderio at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy in Germany. He has received a variety of international awards including the David Russell Prize for young talented musicians at the Conservatory of Vigo (Spain), the Parkening Young Guitarist Competition at Pepperdine, and the Joven Promesa Prize at the VIII José Tomás—Villa de Petrer (Spain) International Guitar Competition. In 2010 he won the Valter Cococcia Prize, which goes to the youngest Italian conservatory student graduating with honors. In addition to this he has won prizes in numerous other competitions including the International Competition of the Adriatic in Pescara, the Fernando Sor International Competition in Rome, the International Competition of Mottola and the Stefano Strata International Competition of Pisa.

Tuur Segers developed an interest for the guitar at a young age recieven his first lessons from his father. He has performed, amongst other places, in the Koninklijke Muntschouwburg, in ‘Bozar’ Brussel, the Basilica Festival of Vlaanderen in Tongeren, the guitar festival in Petrer (Spain) and the Wereldomroep in Hilversum. Additionally, Tuur was selected to play in the “fiësta de la guitarra” in Tallinn and Parnu in Estonia. Aditionaly he played with the ‘Rubens strijkkwartet’ in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, de Doelen in Rotterdam, the Philipszaal in Eindhoven and in Janine Jansen’s chamber music festival in Utrecht.
Tuur has won numerous prizes in competitions including: the ‘Dexia Classics’ in Brussels, the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Anna Amalia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Prinses Christina Concours, International Guitar Competition Brno, the Forum Gitarre Wien and the José Tomas International Guitar Competition in Petrer.

Zaterdagavond 21 mei treedt Tristan Angenendt op in De Vereeniging in Nijmegen. Tristan staat garant voor uitmuntende techniek en bijzondere muzikaliteit. Hij speelt onder meer werken van Sor, De Falla en Albeniz, de Chaconne van Bach en het prachtige Invocación y danza van Rodrigo.

Tristan Angenendt (1985) maakte zijn debuut op twaalfjarige leeftijd als solist met orkest. Twee jaar later werd hij toegelaten tot de Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Keulen, waar hij cum laude afstudeerde bij de gerenommeerde prof. Hubert Käppel. Tristan vervolgde zijn studie aan de International Guitar Academy in Koblenz en voltooide zijn artistieke opleiding bij grote gitaristen als Manuel Barrueco, David Russel, Angel en Pepe Romero.
Tristan Angenendt heeft wereldwijd meer dan dertig prijzen en onderscheidingen gewonnen. Zijn debuut-cd ‘Between the Centuries’ met 20e- en 21e-eeuwse werken ontving lovende kritieken in gitaartijdschriften en publicaties zoals ‘Akustik Gitarre’, ‘Gitarre & Laute’ (Duitsland) en ‘Gendai gitaar’ (Japan).
Ook dit GiCoN-concert in de sfeervolle kleine zaal van De Vereeniging belooft een onvergetelijk optreden te worden.

GiCoN – Voor de klassieke gitaarmuziek liefhebber een niet te missen concert!

Zaterdagavond 12 november treedt Deion Cho op in Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen. Deze gitaarvirtuoos en Tárrega-specialist verzorgt een muzikaal programma vol warme klanken en romantiek.

Deion is lid van de ‘Spanish Guitar Foundation’, een stichting die hem een bijzondere gitaar in bruikleen gaf, namelijk het Royal-model van Paulino Bernabé. Momenteel studeert hij in Madrid bij het ‘Real Conservatorio Superior de Música’ en in Düsseldorf bij maestro Joaquin Clerch. Bij Leo Brouwer en David Russell volgde hij masterclasses.
Deion is in 1992 geboren in Daegu, Zuid-Korea. Toen hij 13 jaar was, begon hij een studie klassieke gitaar bij maestro Sangki Hong, later bij Songou Lee en Ingeun Shin. Op jonge leeftijd gaf hij al diverse concerten. In 2010 ging hij naar Madrid om zijn muzikale vorming te verbreden. Daar won hij de eerste prijs van ‘IV Concurso Internacional de Guitarra Clásica GSD’. Zijn album ‘Latin Guitar Music’ kreeg uitstekende recensies. In 2015 werd hij uitgenodigd een concert te verzorgen in het Auditorio Nacional van Madrid, ter gelegenheid van de 75ste verjaardag van het Concierto de Aranjuez van Joaquin Rodrigo.

Deion staat garant voor romantische klanken. Ook dit GiCoN gitaarconcert in Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen belooft een onvergetelijk optreden te worden. Na afloop is er een gezellige Meet&Greet!

Frontman Alexander Makay deelt niet alleen een Hongaarse vader en West-Europese moeder met Mark Knopfler, maar specialiseerde zich ook in diens unieke gitaarstijl.
Elk lid van de vijfkoppige band is ervaren in diverse stijlen wat hen verenigt in deze encyclopedische muziek.
Tijdloze songs als Brothers in Arms, Romeo and Juliet en Sultans of Swing behoren tot het repertorium. Ook vergeten pareltjes uit de vroege periode zoals Single Handed Sailor en Angel of Mercy worden afgestoft om het publiek kennis te laten maken met geniale muziek van Dire Straits.
